Mandra Unnayan Samsad
Development of Education
⦁ Helped to establish some primary School in different area of our village Mandra.
⦁ Helped to establish one High school in Mandra which is now taken over by the Government as Higher Secondary School.
⦁ Started Sponsorship program for the education of poor students (approx. 350) on the basis of merit.
⦁ Started three numbers Creche and one K.G school for the expansion of pre-primary education.
⦁ Presently education grants or financial help is being provided to fifteen nos. of students
⦁ Established one public Library for the expansion of education in the village which is being run by our State Government.

⦁ Worked for the six year in different Blocks of District Hooghly for T.B treatment and eradication.

⦁ Conducted ‘Enkephelatis’ camp.
⦁ Cultivation of ‘Gappi’ Fish for destruction of mosquito.
⦁ Built household Toilet for more than 3000 members
⦁ Worked for the six year in different Blocks of District Hooghly for T.B treatment and eradication.

Purified Drinking Water Programme
260 nos of Tarapump, 200 nos of Cylinder Tube Well, 175 nos Tube Well, purification of pond water for the use of people was done for the development of drinking water facility among rural people.
Training Programme of educated unemployed youths
⦁ TRYSEM Training was given to the youths of Hooghly district in 14 categories.

Social welfare activities
⦁ Helped 140 numbers of aged poor people over the last 24 years with the help of foreign funds. Presently helpless aged poor people are helped through a local grant.
⦁ Self Help Group was formed in the year 2002 for the development of rural women.
Presently, the number of members become 2500 heads. Rural women groups economically benefited through these activities

Irrigation Project
MandraUnnayanSamsad for a long time past has been providing irrigation through its existing 03 (three) nos. medium duty tube well in village Mandra, Joyharipur, and Melki under Dhaniakhali Block. The medium-duty tube well at village Melki has been managed by the beneficiary committee who is responsible to manage the deep tube well from a selection of farmers with coverage of land to the collection of service charge and payment of the electric bill.
